The following is what my college friend told me:
“Seriously, depending upon what your reason for celibacy is, perhaps you might want to wear it on the ring finger on your left hand for the purpose of keeping guys at bay, so that they can think whatever they want. If your reason is not believing in premarital sex, then the guy(s) who are sensitive enough to notice your reason, that ring will not deter them from pursuing you. I did that for quite a few years throughout college. There are some veery sensitive guys out there who are truly serious and respectful enough to appreciate your values and principles. I am now happily married. My husband thought it was a great challenge in pursuing me, because no other girl he has ever met did this.”
